Death is inevitable, and upon remembering it, we can’t but reflect on how we use our limited time in this world. Death reminds us that amassing wealth and status in this world is not helping us in the grave.
Instead, we have been guided by the Al-Quran and hadith on how to prepare ourselves for the next world, and if we do not heed, we only have ourselves to blame.
“When death comes to one of them, he says, ‘My Lord, send me back that I might do righteousness in that which I left behind’. No! It is only a word he is saying, and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected.” (Al-Mu’minuun 23:99-100)
Therefore, we must crank up a notch on worshipping Allah and performing good deeds. So, let’s do the actions that will bring us enduring benefits that will last beyond the grave and bring us excellence in akhirah, insyaAllah.
